There are times when people sell their product,
believe they provide a good product, but are unaware that they have
fallen just below the bar set by that expectation which is produced
in a sales consultation.
Then there was my Burgundy’s wedding in Westport,
MA
You said you would come into the event, take charge, and
produce a “glorious affair.” You said you could
provide an exceptional meal that matched the setting for the event.
You said if something needed to be done, just tell a wait staff
and they will make it happen. You said you would take care of the
details. We believed you the moment we met.
We provided the setting, the weather cooperated to the
norm for the area (albeit a few scary moments at the start
of the ceremony), the tent was set in place, and your crew showed
up when expected.
From all of our correspondence to this date, I felt confident
you would meet my expectations. My bar was raised because
of your confidence in your organization to produce the promise.
I was totally surprised. Your company surpassed my expectation in
every detail possible. My friends (new and old) and family (new
and old) came up to me during the event and expressed how memorable
the event was, and it wasn't even over. I know we had a good plan,
but you, Deb and the rest of the staff, made the wedding go as planned.
When the plan needed to be changed slightly, you made the right
suggestion and it was enhanced. Oh, and the gourmet chefs in our
guest list were equally impressed.
Then I woke up the next morning, looked around and saw
the aftermath, I was even more amazed. The place spotless.
Everything was put away, but the amazing thing was the stealth with
which the job was executed, so that no one really noticed during
the end of the night.
Holly and I thank you and the staff from Glorious Affairs
from the bottom of our hearts. We would be honored to provide
references or consultations with your new prospective buyers at
any time. Please use us to help.
Oh, and when it comes time for Brecken, I hope
we can make the magic happen again,
Bill
PS: I hope you will pass this onto everyone involved in
our “show” so that they know how pleased we are with
their work. Each and every contact I made with the group
was pleasant, professional, and confident. I heard of one issue
with an older gentleman about the shuttle bus which was unpleasant,
but I think your crew handed it perfunctorily. Please personally
thank the people involved for me.
To Everyone at Glorious Affairs,
The “morning after” brunch was a great success
- people enjoyed a more peaceful, personal atmosphere. I imagine
most were worn out from all the dancing the night before.
The food was delicious, the staff were friendly,
courteous and helpful (all needed for a memorable event).
Thanks so much for making the last memory of the
wedding such a pleasant time.

Dear Barbara,
Thank you so much for all of your work on our wedding!
When Nathan and I chose Glorious Affairs, we knew we were
getting a great caterer, but we didn't know we were getting first-class
event planners. Working with everyone on your staff was a pleasure.
I never doubted for a moment that you had everything taken care
of, and I didn’t worry about a single thing on my wedding
day. In fact, I was the one reassuring Nathan that everything would
be fine. We also can't think you enough for your graciousness with
both sets os parents. My mom couldn't stop talking about how beautiful
everything was and how secure she felt after first meeting you.
Glorious Affairs made us look like pros! We can't thank you enough.
We also want to thank Steve with all of his assistance
with our menu. We had some very specific ideas for what
we wanted and he knew exactly how to articulate or requests. We
got so many positive comments on the food; we couldn't have been
happier. I think our favorites were the fig spread with gorgonzola
cream and mini quesadillas. We’ll always remember them.
Most important, we want to thank all of your staff for
their excellent service and attention to detail. They are
all professionals and we could tell that they love their work. Please
pass along our sincere thanks to everyone involved that night -
we appreciated all of their help.
I can't end my note without also mentioning the lunch you
provided on Friday afternoon for all of my friends and family.
The food got rave reviews from everyone - and it was so much fun!!
Thank you so much for making all of our dreams for our
wedding come true. We couldn't have imagined a better day. Thank
you!
Love, Cristin & Nathan
Dear Barbara, Steve & Staff,
Wow! What an amazing group you are. I have never
known a catering group that produced such a good, tasty food, but
you are it. Where do I start with all of our thank you's?
Thank you for helping us out at the last minute.
In under a week, you gave us two creative, tasty menus - one even
Portuguese to satisfy my hard-to-please husband. I’m not sure
how many guests we ended up with, Julie and Steven kept inviting
more family and friends, but we had enough food for everyone and
everyone kept saying how good the food was. Of course I threw flour
on my face and said I’d slaved all day. Just kidding! I gave
you all the credit - exceptional meals and dessert!
The reception was wonderful. Again, great food
and service. Many - and I mean many- guests said how much they enjoyed
the food. Thank you for finding us a third heater. With the drop
in temperature, we really needed the extra heat. Thank you for everything.
You truly create a “glorious affair” for your clients.
You provide a quality product with exceptional service.
Best Wishes, Beverly Madieros
Dear Glorious Affairs,
As my first year anniversary approaches, my mind can't help
but race back to our special day on year ago. I wanted
to formally thank you all again for everything you did for Dave
and me. You truly made every small detail special. Our friends tell
us after each wedding that has come along since ours how our food
was the best that they have ever had at a wedding. We couldn't agree
more! Take care. Hope the summer season finds you busy and happy.
