She loves meeting with all of the clients, but the brides and grooms have a special place in her heart. She thoroughly enjoys making their day perfect since she knows it’s one of the most special days in their lives.

Wendy CobbWendy Cobb started her career in catering in 1980 at the very young age of 14 at Blackstone Caterers. She continued to work for them through high school as well as college and, when she was 21, they offered her a job as an assistant in the office detailing sales and events. Wendy handled many of the largest social events in Newport, claiming the Preservation Society as her biggest client. When Wendy left the company in 2004 to join Plantation Catering as the Director of Sales, she was the Senior Sales Manager with the top sales in the company.
While at Plantation Catering, Wendy found herself planning and executing many of Newport's most talked about events, including many at the Mansions and private estates in town. She was named General Manager in 2006.
In 2010, Wendy decided it was time to open her own company and, along with her sister, opened a small, successful catering company in Middletown, RI. She found herself not only planning and executing events, but playing a key role in managing the kitchen and production of their menus. In an effort to spend more time with their family and find better balance, the sisters decided it was time to pursue other adventures.
We are excited to have Wendy bring her passion for the business along with her knowledge and expertise to Glorious Affairs.
